Kathleen Marie Keith

July 1, 1955 - December 18, 2017

Kathleen Marie Keith of Waxahachie, TX, joined the angels in heaven on December 18, 2017.  She was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, to Lowell and Shirley Mitchell on July 1, 1955.

Kathy graduated from East Detroit High School in 1973. She worked as a daycare director for many years, and most recently worked as a loving caregiver for those who were terminally ill.  She had a true servant's heart and spent her life taking care of others.

Kathy was a devout Christian woman who loved the Lord with all her heart.  She was a very active member of The Oaks Fellowship Church and proudly served on the baptism team.

Kathy was a member of the Waxahachie Senior Center and enjoyed her friends and many activities with the Humdinger chapter of the Red Hat Society.

She married the love of her life, Martin Keith in Roseville, Michigan September 22, 1979.  She is survived by her parents, Lowell and Shirley Mitchell of Waxahachie, TX; brother Dennis Mitchell and wife Kris; brother Robert Mitchell and wife Terry; daughter, Colleen Turnage; son, Matthew Keith, of Pearl, Mississippi; granddaughter, Laila Turnage; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceeded in death by her husband Marty.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00-4:00pm on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at the Waxahachie Funeral Home chapel.  A service to celebrate Kathy's life will follow at 4:00pm.
