Larry Lynn
Costlow
Aug 22, 1967 — Oct 27, 2026
Larry Lynn Costlow, 59, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on October 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of family and friends. Born on August 22, 1967, in Ennis, Texas, Larry was raised primarily in Waxahachie, Texas, where he spent much of his life and built memories that would remain with him and those who loved him.
Larry was a loving man with a big personality, a stubborn streak that those who knew him will never forget, and a spirit that could bring life to any gathering. He was truly the life of the party, and his presence had a way of making moments memorable. He had a heart of his own, a mind of his own, and a way of doing things that made him uniquely Larry. Those who knew him best understood that behind his stubbornness was a man who loved deeply and left his mark on the hearts of the people around him.
Some of Larry’s greatest joys came from the simple things in life. He loved building birdhouses, watching hummingbirds, and spending time outdoors fishing and hunting. Whether he was working with his hands to build something special or enjoying the peace of nature, Larry found happiness in the things he loved. These small but meaningful passions were a reflection of who he was and will remain cherished memories for those who knew him.
Above all, Larry was a father, a son, a brother, a grandfather, and a friend. He leaves behind his two sons, Bryan Costlow and Anthony Costlow, and six beloved granddaughters, who will carry his memory forward in their hearts. Being part of a family meant having a lifetime of stories, laughter, unforgettable moments, and memories that will continue to bring comfort even in his absence.
Larry is survived by his loving mother, Sherry King, and stepfather, Walter King; his three sisters, Kimberly Sims, Shannon Spurgeon, and Kathleen Hester; and his two brothers, Larry Green and Garry Green. He also leaves behind extended family members and dear friends whose lives were touched by his presence.
Though Larry’s passing leaves an emptiness that words cannot fully express, his life will be remembered for the love he gave, the laughter he shared, the memories he created, and the unmistakable personality that made him who he was. The sound of laughter, the quiet beauty of hummingbirds, a day spent fishing or hunting, and the sight of a handmade birdhouse may forever bring him to mind.
A life is not measured only by the years someone spends on this earth, but by the memories they leave behind and the love that continues long after they are gone. Larry’s story does not end with his passing. It lives on through his children, his granddaughters, his family, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Though he may have left this world peacefully, the love he leaves behind will never fade. He will forever be loved, deeply missed, and remembered.
Rest peacefully, Larry. You will always have a place in the hearts of those who love you.
