Obituary

Lee Payne, 90, of Waxahachie, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on July 27,2025. He was born on February 2, 1935, in Hot Springs, Arkansas.


A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and man of unwavering faith, Lee dedicated his life to serving others. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and a graduate of Baptist Bible College. His calling led him to become a lifelong minister, touching countless lives with his wisdom, kindness, and love for God.


Lee was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Imogene Bishop Payne, and two sons, Timothy Payne and Galen Payne.


He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce King Payne, and children: Roger Payne, Larry Payne, Terry (Anna) Payne, and Jeff (Jamie) Payne. He also leaves behind many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


Lee's life was marked by compassion, humility, and deep devotion to his family and church community. His presence brought warmth and comfort to all who knew him.


Graveside service will be held Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 3pm. Lakeview Memorial Park Cemetery, 120 Oaklawn, Waxahachie, Texas 75165
