Leon is preceded in death by his parents, Loyd and Hortense Thompson, sisters Jerlene McQuir, and Maddie Dews.

Leon is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Louise Thompson, sons Leon Thompson Jr., Leonard Thompson, daughters Leonora Jackson, Lydia Jefferson, brothers Emerson Thompson, Elmer Thompson, grandchildren Lyderria Jefferson, Naomi Thompson, Derrick Jefferson II, Josiah Jefferson, Alia Jefferson.

Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM, Friday July 8, 2016 at the Oaks Fellowship,

Visitation will be held an hour before the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Waxahachie Funeral Home.
