Linda Simpson, 72, passed away March 5, 2017. She was born in Greenville, TX, January 29, 1945, to L T and Helen McGuffey. Linda graduated from Garland High School and attended North Texas State University.

She worked many years as a florist at A-Cottage Florist, then worked for Bunzl USA as a customer Service Representative for the past 20 years until her passing.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband Benny Simpson, and both parents.

She is survived by daughters Sandie Crosby and husband Danny of Midlothian TX, Jennie McIntosh and husband Mac of Midlothian TX, grandchildren Cori Murphy and fiancé Bacel Godwin, Trey Crosby, Tyler McIntosh all of Midlothian, TX, Ryan Crosby of Ft. Worth, TX, sisters Rita Wallen of Cash TX, Kathy McCrary of Quinlan, TX, Sister-in-law Lela Bass of Springtown, TX, aunts Theda Lacy, Thelma Edwards, Peggy McCarley, uncle Buddy Compton and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Linda loved camping, history, flowers, all animals, and Mickey Gilley. She was a member of the Golden Triangle Saddle club where she was treasurer for several years. She also loved the Girl Scouts where she was a leader for both daughters and also enjoyed being a leader for her granddaughter.   She will be greatly missed by her daughters and grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

The family will have a memorial service on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 3 p.m. at the Waxahachie Funeral Home.
