Mack Lucas, 79, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Sunday, September 13, 2020.   He was born November  9, 1940 in Waxahachie, Texas to Preston and Charlene Lucas.

Mack married the love of his life, Wanda Lee Hopkins Lucas, on March 8,1963 in Ennis, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Charlene Lucas. He is survived by his loving wife of  57 years, Lee Lucas, one son; Rodney Mack Lucas, one daughter; Tracy Leigh Ann Lucas, one brother; Hugh Wesson,  one sister; Jan Wesson Elgin, sister-in-law; Karen Wesson, five grandchildren; Kayla Lucas, Jared Lucas, Cody Lucas, Justin Vinton, Jason Vinton, and eight great- grandchildren; Lainey, Amara, Makinlei, Kason, Kyla, Colt, Hoss and Anson.

Mr. Lucas proudly served his country honorably, in the United States Army.

Mack loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting. One of his favorite pastimes was feeding the deer that grazed freely in his backyard.

He especially loved time spent with his grandkids and family.

Visitation will be held at Waxahachie Funeral Home on Saturday, September 19, 2020 from 12:00 -1:30, with graveside service immediately following at 2:00 pm at Lakeview Cemetery, Waxahachie, Texas.
