Mardria Maurie Dickens Anderson, 84 of Narrows went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 10th, 2010 at Carilion Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg. She was born in Polk County, Texas on July 11th, 1926, and was the daughter of the late Elbert Newton and Eudora Swearengin Dickens. She also taught several Biblical study courses at Southwestern India Bible College. Her love of people was reflected by the many friendships she formed wherever she went. She never knew a stranger and no matter who she made contact with; they left her presence feeling better than they were before. Her vast knowledge of the Bible was encouraging to her family and her many friends. Wherever she went, she made a positive impact for Christ.
