Maria De Los Angeles Serna

February 28th, 1944 ~ August 16th, 2024

Maria Serna passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on August the 16th, 2024. Maria Was born on February the 28th, 1944 to Antonio and Francisca Zamudio in Monterrey, Mexico.

Maria loved her family and would do anything to make sure they were taken care of. She also loved to dance.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents Antonio and Francisca Zamudio, her sister, Guadalupe Santos, brother, Braulio Zamudio and granddaughter, Sierra Pires.

Left to honor her memory is her husband, Ignacio Serna, Sons, Luis Serna and wife Nohemi, Hugo Serna and wife Janie, daughter Estela Pires and husband Mike, and her grandchildren, Talia Pires, Marcus Pires, Clarissa Serna, Brian Serna, Susan Serna, and Breanna Serna.

A Rosary will be held at the Waxahachie Funeral Home on Friday, August the 23rd at 6pm with a Memorial Service immediately following.
