Maria E. Sias, 87, peacefully went to her heavenly home surrounded by her family on May 7, 2026. Maria was born on July 11, 1938, to Juan Posas and Florinda Flores in Raymondville, Texas.

Maria was a teachers aid for 11 years before she stepped into management. She started as a Winn Dixi Deli Manager and stayed there for six years. She then went on to manage the Kroger Deli for 10 years and before retirement, she managed a Whataburger for 3 years.

Maria liked to craft, read, dancing and puzzles. She also enjoyed being in the kitchen cooking and baking cakes for her family. Maria loved the Lord and reading her bible. She will be dearly missed by many.

Maria is preceded in death by her grandparents, Isidro and Natividad Flores, her parents Juan Jose and Florinda Flores Posas, her brother, Jose Juan Posas, sisters, Juanita Posas Salazar and Lydia Posas Salinas, her grandchild, Aaron Sias and her great grandchild, Cayden Sias.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Domingo A. Sias Jr., her children, Mario Rene Sias (Regina), Flora Ann Sias, Oscar Sias, grandchildren, Destiney Renee Ramirez (David), Ashley Watson (Trae), Tarin Marshall (Jeff), Brooke Sias, Chelsea Sias, Bianca Whitten, Jeremy Morrison Sias, her great-grandchildren, Logan Hernandez, Brennan Ramirez, Kylar Watson, Kamden Watson, Kutter Watson, Liam Marshall, Maizie Marshall, Deziree Sias, Alicia Landeros, Zachary Barrett, Ziggy Barrett and Ryan Barrett and her sister, Alicia Posas Hacker.

A Visitation will be held at Waxahachie funeral home on Tuesday, May 12, from 5-7pm. The funeral service will be at Waxahachie Funeral Home, Wednesday, May 13, at 10am with burial to follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Waxahachie, Texas.
