Mary Jean Payne, 74, was born June 28, 1937 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma to Frank & Martha Horton Bishop and went to her heavenly home October 21, 2011. She was married to Rev. Lee Payne in 1953 in Lubbock, TX. She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, 6 sons Roger, Tim, Larry, Terry, Jeff, and Galen, 5 are married and have 14 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren, 5 sisters and one brother, also many nephews and nieces. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday October 21, 2011 at Waxahachie Funeral Home. The funeral, officiated by Rev. Charles Payne, will be Saturday, 12:00 noon October 22, 2011 at the Waxahachie Bible Baptist Church in Waxahachie with burial following at Lakeview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Waxahachie Funeral Home.
