Mary Smith, 93, went to be with the Lord November 6, 2018.  She was born December 20, 1924 in  Eureka, California,  to Ottie and Patrie Doolittle. She married the love of her life John Smith in 1947.  Mary moved to Waxahachie in 1952 where she worked for Christian Fidelity for years and  was a member of University Assembly of God Church.

She is preceded in death by her son Ottie Smith, granddaughter Holly Smith, 2 sisters, and 2 brothers.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, John Smith, daughter Patsy Mathis and husband Clarence, grandchildren Heather Parker, Heidi Smith, Lisa Puckett, Renee Williams, Jeff Mathis, John Mathis,  several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and some special friends Mike and Jennifer Reed.

Visitation will be held 9:30 AM, Friday, November 9, 2018 with a Funeral Service starting at 11:00 AM at Waxahachie Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Gateway Memorial Park Cemetery.
