Mary L. Wakefield November 06, 1910 - January 02, 2011 Mary Wakefield, 100, was born in Hillsboro, Tx. on November 06, 1910, to Peter Lorenzo Fletcher and Sarah Goodman Jones. She married John Milton Wakefield on August 4, 1928 and she had a son, Billie Joe Wakefield Mary worked at Waxahachie Cotton Mill for 20 years until she retired. Mary is preceeded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her son Billie Joe Wakefield and wife Mildred Wakefield, two granddaughters, Karen Ingram and husband Michael of Garland, and Debra Dunn and husband Chris of Plano. Mary had four great grandchildren, Christopher Pollan, Shane Pollan, Geoffrey Ingram, and April Dunn. She also had five great-great grandchildren Dakota Pollan, Anna Pollan, Autumn Dunn, Aidan Pollan, and Kayla Pollan. Visitation for Mary will be Thursday, January 6, 2011 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Waxahachie Funeral Home, 1201 W. 287 Bypass, Waxahachie. At Mary's request, only graveside services will be held on Friday, January 7, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Waxahachie City Cemetery.
