Obituary

Marylyn May Norman passed away peacefully on March 01, 2026 in Austin, Texas. She was born on September 3, 1939 to William Holland and Ruby Lain. She was the fifth of seven children.

Marylyn was married to her sweetheart, Daniel Norman, on June 1, 1963 at San Jacinto Assembly of God Church in Amarillo, TX. She was a devoted wife, caring pastor’s wife, and a selfless mom who loved and cared for her kids. Marylyn was extremely kind, very competitive, enjoyed playing Rook with her family and often enjoyed sewing.

Marylyn is preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Daniel Norman, her parents William Thomas Holland and Ruby Tow, and her siblings, JD Holland, John Holland, Joyce Montgomery, and Bob Holland.

Marylyn graduated with honors from Southwestern Assemblies of God College in Waxahachie, Texas and served faithfully in her local church for over 50 years.

She is survived by her son, Michael Norman and his wife Tamara, daughter, Danell Strange and her husband Travis, grandchildren, Madison Norman, M’Kenna Norman Hoffart and husband Ryan, Malley Norman Snook and husband Reid, Ashton Strange Ashmore and her husband Cody, Rieker Strange, London Strange, great-grandchildren, Dawson Hoffart, Tatum Ashmore, Wyatt Ashmore, Trinity Ashmore and her sisters, Yvone Carver and Sharon Reeder and husband Dan, along with multiple other nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held at Waxahachie Funeral Home on Monday, March 09, at 1pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 2pm. Burial will follow the funeral at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery.
