Obituary

Michael Conley  Brinkley was born July 24, 1947  in Dallas, TX. He fought a lengthy 7 year battle with dementia and passed away on February 20, 2019 with his wife by his side.

Michael graduated from Kimball High School in 1966 and quickly started his career at LTV/Vought in Grand Prairie where he worked for 45 years.  He loved everything about airplanes and he took much pride in his job and loved sharing his knowledge with everyone he encountered.

In 1970, he met the love of his life.  Debra Sue Morris and they married in June of 1971.  In 1976 they welcomed a daughter, Brandi Lyn. They moved to Waxahachie, Texas in 1979 where they grew their story.

Michael loved going to the races loved working on cars, taking care of his yard and his favorite holiday was the 4th of July.  He always used July 4th as his birthday celebration and until about 4 years ago he had  huge parties where he would cook, have big fireworks displays and show his family and friends a good time.

Michael was welcomed to Heaven by his father, Ernest King, mother Frances England, his brother Steve, and his beloved dog Fifi.

He is survived by his wife Debra Sue of 48 years, daughter Brandi Lyn McClain her husband Branden, two granddaughters, Conleigh Allise Brinkley-Newsom and Cambrynn Monroe Moody.  Also, his favorite cousin Donald England of Alvarado and his best friends of 50 years John and Linda Glantz.  He will be greatly missed by many.
A Visitation will be held 4-6:00 PM, March 2, 2019 at Waxahachie Funeral Home.
