Obituary

Morgan "Cowboy" McRae, 71, passed away on February 18, 2020.  He was born in Centerville, TX on February 14, 1949, to Bob and Mary McRae.

"Cowboy" is survived by his wife of twenty years, Bonnie McRae, son Jeremy Walker, and stepson Daniel Bliss, daughter Christie Tucker, and stepdaughter Molly Mitchell, sister Bobbie Jean Mitchell, grandchildren Chloe Marie Wallingsford, Grace Bliss, Tayen Bliss, Cody Kowalsky, Ryder Ray Tucker, Kaitlyn Tucker Preston Walker and  great-grandchildren Lyric Koontz, Ramona Wallingsford  along with several more and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews

Morgan got his nickname "Cowboy" while he worked as a "real cowboy" for some time before going to work in the cotton gins, but the nickname "Cowboy" stuck!  After working at the cotton gins he began working for The  City of Waxahachie, where he retired in 2001. After he retired, Cowboy spent many years helping out on ranches in Ellis and Hill County.

He was well known in Ellis County for his love of horses, trail rides, welding one of a kind bbq pits, and fishing.

His family would ask that you make donations in his memory to the American Heart Association.  As per his wishes, there will not be any services held.
