Nadja Christine Young, passed away on February the 12 th , 2025 in Waxahachie, Texas. She was born on December the 23 rd , 1970 to Richard Lee Shaffer and Cheryl Leann McCasland in Yuma, Colorado.

Nadja was a member of Bear Creek Baptist church. She loved fishing, boating, playing Dominos and card games, but most of all, she loved to spend time with her family.

Nadja is preceded in death by her grandparents, Dorral and Vada McCasland and her mother Cheryl Edwards.

She is survived by her father, Richard Shaffer, her loving husband of 30 years, Allen young, children, Kelsey Peterson and husband James, Taea Young, and Melanie Young, grandchildren, Carson Peterson, Cohen Peterson, Emery Peterson, Carter Peterson, and Michelle Buford, siblings, Rick Shaffer, Nick Shaffer, Nicole Shaffer, and Kim Harman.
