Paul C. Mead, 90, of Arlington/Midlothian, passed away the morning of April 1, 2022. Mr. Mead was born December 1, 1931 in Sulphur Bluff, Texas (Hopkins County)to Earl and Elizabeth Mead.
He graduated from Commerce High School and attended East Texas State College. After returning from a tour of duty in Korea with the US Navy in 1954, he married Patsy Mead and they moved to Arlington Texas where they lived for 39 years before moving to Midlothian Texas. He also began employment with Chance Vought (LTV), retiring after 39 years of service.
He loved God, his family and enjoyed photography, golf, bowling, casinos and traveling.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Patsy Mead of 51 years, second wife Joann Manus of 8 years, two brothers: Wesley Mead and Bill Meads, and grand-daughter, Lindy Finfrock.
He is survived by his brother Gerald Mead, sister's-in- law: Betty Mead and Elthie Meads, son, Glen Mead (Melody), daughters: Margie Allen (Steve), Myra Mead, Angela Shoemaker (Mike). Grandchildren: Robby Storey, Kyle Mead (Lauren), Ryan Allen, Jennifer Kennedy (Bruce), Samantha Reinhard (Andrew), Stephanie Stewart (Sean), Jarret Shoemaker (Andrea), Austin Mead (Danae), great-grandchildren: Kyla, Desiree, Parker, Michaela, Jack, Ryder, Jaison, Aly, Charlotte, Hunter, Reid, Wesleigh, Lucas, Blake, Caden, Cameron, and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, April 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church, Midlothian, Texas.
