Peggy Baker, 60, went to be with the Lord June 6, 2010 at home where she was surrounded by her family. She was born in Ft. Hood, Texas January 9, 1950 to Cohen Spears & Katie Ryno. Peggy worked at Marvin Elementary, and loved working with children. She loved her family, and loved taking road trips with the girls. Her family was very important to her. Peggy was such a loving, giving person, she will be missed my all who knew her. Her bright smile will go on in our hears forever. Peggy is preceded in death by her Parents and Husband Gene Baker. She is survived by her daughters Tammy Crandall and husband Tim of Midlothian, TX Denice Mixon and husband Phil of Kemp, TX, son Cohen Baker (Bear) and Fiancée Kimberly Bigg of Waxahachie, step children Tina Nash, Terry Smith, Larry Baker, Gene Baker Jr., Teddy Baker, Alvis Baker sisters Pat Scharschell and husband Frank of Missouri, Tricia Spurlock of Crandall, TX, Linda Spears of AL, brother Cohen Butch Spears and wife Patsy of MS, 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation will be June 8, 2010 6-8:00 pm at Waxahachie Funeral Home.
