Richard Lee Ewers, 76, of McKinney, Texas passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021. He was born December 25, 1944 to Avery Lorenzo Ewers and Helen Bernice Posser Ewers in Richland Center, Wisconsin.

Richard proudly served his country in the United States Army for six years. After an honorable discharge from the Army, he started his own catering truck business. In  his later years, he became a bus driver for the Garland Independent School District, where he faithfully served for seventeen years.

In Richard's free time, he enjoyed fishing, playing  mahjong, reading, gardening, and  making candies  at Christmas time. He especially looked forward to and loved playing bridge weekly with his bridge club friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Avery and Helen Ewers and one brother; Avery Ralph Ewers.

He is survived by his children; Scott & Penny Ewers of Waxahachie, Texas, Chris & Pam Ewers of McKinney, Texas, James & Rocio Ewers of Waxahachie, Texas, Greg & Kristin Morgan of Fulshear, Texas, Pam Prentice of Garland, Texas, Lisa & Brian Barth of Midlothian, Texas, grandchildren; Josh & Kate Morgan, Blake Prentice, Alyssa, Andrew and Caleb Barth, Xahil, Rodrigo, Samantha and Mariana Ewers, two sisters; Margaret Merwarth & Cheryle Priolo and one brother; Gene Ewers and his wife; Angeline, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Richard will be missed greatly by those who knew and loved him.
