Rickie Len Taylor

September 8, 1954 – December 20, 2024

Rickie Taylor, 70, passed away December 20, 2024.  He was born September 8, 1954, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Frank and Mae Taylor.

Rickie loved music. He was a life long musician and  played 13 different instruments. He favored the piano and learned to play by ear when he was very young. He played the piano like Jerry Lee Lewis and sang liked Jimmy Swaggart.

He attended an church and loved helping lead others into the presence of God by playing the piano and singing.  Rickie served as a police officer/ deputy sheriff in Tarrant and Carter County for a collective 20 years. He retired from Prague, Ok as the Chief of Police.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mae Taylor.

Left to honor Rickie's memory are his sons Chris Taylor and wife Angie, Scott Taylor and wife Angela, Trevor Taylor, grandchildren, Mason and Kaitlyn Taylor, Lane and Kagan Thomas, Trinity Taylor, Cade Sims, Cassie Sims, great grandchildren, Huckston Taylor and Emerson Mae Thomas.

A graveside service will be held at the Waxahachie City Cemetery on January 6th, 2025 at 12pm.
