Robert Dyar, better known as "Sam" passed away surrounded by his family March 10, 2023.  He was born November 2, 1944 in Hughes Springs, Texas to Oscar and Cordia Dyar.  Sam was a member of Grace Covenant Church in Red Oak, Texas.  His favorite pastime was singing and playing the guitar.

He is preceded in death by both his parents, sisters, Era Dyar and Betty  Ann Golden.

Sam is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Sherry  Elizabeth Dyar, son, Robert Scott, daughter, Andrea Danielle, grandchildren, Dustin Dyar, Justin Dyar,  & Tyler Dyar.

A Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2023, 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Waxahachie Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, March 15, 2:00 PM at Waxahachie Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Gateway Cemetery.
