Robert E Olsen passed away on March 3, 2023 in Dallas, Texas.  He was born on January 12,1951 in Brooklyn, New York to Peter Bernhard Olsen and Ruth Eleanor Olsen.

Bob graduated from Fort Hamilton High School, served in the United States Coast Guard, attended John Jay Criminal College and worked as a New York City Police Officer from 1972-1979. Bob married Joanne in 1978 and they moved to Waxahachie, Texas in 1979. He then worked for Liberty division of Commercial Metals for 34 years.

Bob is preceded in death by his daughter Michele, his parents, and his brother Arnold Olsen.  Bob is survived by his wife Joanne, daughter Suzanne and husband Cody Arms along with grandchildren J. W. Galloway, Jonathan Galloway, Michael Galloway, and Samantha Arms. He enjoyed many nephews and loving family members.

Bob enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed barbecuing, cooking, baking, hunting and fishing.  He was a member of the VFW post #3894 Auxiliary and thoroughly enjoyed all the friends he made there through the years.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 11 at 10:00 AM, Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM at Waxahachie Funeral Home, with Interment at Lakeview Memorial Park.  Following the Burial everyone is invited to a lunch at VFW Post #3894 in Waxahachie.

In lieu of flowers please donate in his memory to Tunnels to Towers Foundation or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
