Robert Earl Spear passed away on October 4, 2016 in Waco, Texas. Robert was born on February 7, 1949, in Corpus Christi, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hawley N. Spear and Dorothy McKinley Spear of Waxahachie, TX. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Georgia McMullen Spear and son Brandon Spear, of West, Texas. A special daughter Melissa Duplonty Chevalier and husband Ken, special grandchildren, Kaydon and Kylee Chevalier all of Bridge City, TX, his brother, James Spear and wife Carolyn and his sister Mary Brandon, all of West, TX, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Robert graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1967. He attended North Texas State University, and University of Texas in Austin. He was drafted by the U. S. Army in 1970 and served till 1972 in Germany. He retired from Southwestern Bell in 2003 after 30 years of service.

Robert was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting and was an avid Longhorn Fan, but most of all he loved his family. The family will receive family and friends for visitation Friday, October 7, 2016 at Waxahachie Funeral Home from 6-8:00. The celebration of Life will be held at Waxahachie Funeral Home, Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 2 PM. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Waxahachie.

Pastor Greg Isbell will be officiating and pallbearers will be Terry Conner, Ben Rosar, Nathan Talley, John Holt, John Harrison and Teddy Karwoski.
