Obituary

Rocky Dale Hopkins, 71, passed away February 2, 2025. He was born August 12, 1953 in Killeen, Texas to Andrew Jackson Hopkins Jr. and Violet Hopkins. He grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, where he shined as a football player for North Side during his Junior High and Senior High years. Rocky worked in construction management and recently retired from his role as a Project Manager for Ramtech Building Systems.

After giving his life to Christ, he served as a Deacon at Walnut Ridge for years. He began raising two daughters, Kendall and Amber, in 2000. He had a heart for serving the homeless and co-founded JFINTS (Jesus Freaks in the Streets) in 2003 and has since served on its board. He faithfully attended Fielder Church for years and, more recently, Stonegate Church, where he has been active in bible study and a home group. He loved racing cars and watching football, but, most of all, spending time with friends and family, serving them and loving them in the name of Jesus Christ.

Rocky is preceded in death by his mother Violet Hill. Left to honor his memory are daughter Kendall Cochran (Joey Cochran) and daughter Amber Hopkins, grandchildren Chloe Cochran, Asher Cochran, Adalie Cochran, Clara Cochran, and many extended family members and friends
whom he loved dearly.
