Rocky Lynn Mizell

June 28 ^th , 1963 – April 29 ^th , 2023

Rocky Mizell, 59 years old, passed away peacefully at home on April 29 ^th surrounded by family. He was born in Duncanville on June 28 ^th , 1963, to Bill and Shirley Mizell. He graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1981 and attended Southwestern Assemblies of God College.

Rocky moved to Crystal Beach, Texas 35 years ago and worked for Seaside Lumbar Company. Rocky was a great artist. He loved painting, floral designing and took many 1 ^st place awards for his artwork. Rocky facilitated and competed in Pool tournaments three nights a week for many years. He loved to fish, both fresh water and surf fishing. Rocky loved everyone and was well known in his community; he was known for his "Heart of Gold".

He is preceded in death by his Maternal grandparents Z.L. "Jack" and Jennie Mae Sims King and his Paternal Grandparents William B. and Mabel Davis Mizell.

He is survived by his Father and Mother William T. and Shirley Mizell, Sister Trena (Steve) Jones, Nieces Tiana Sutton, Tarra Daugherty, and Kyra Jones, Nephew Travis Bounds, two great aunts Wanda Thomas and Mary Terry, twelve Great Nieces and Nephews and many cousins.
