Roland Coker 88, passed away June 15, 2020. He was born in September 5, 1931 in Marquez, Texas to Thornberry Newton & Bertha Lindley Coker.
Mr. Coker proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He was employed by Braniff Airlines and Southwest Airlines as an aircraft mechanic and retired from The Teamsters National Union.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and the mother of his children, Betty Coker.
He is survived by one son, Eddy Coker and wife, Lorie; and one daughter, Debbie Marshall and husband, Allen; six grandchildren, Candi Houdek and husband Kevin, Bryan Coker and wife, Valin, Cody Coker and wife, Brittany, Reece Marshall and wife, Brittany, Nikki Powers and husband Justin, and Dusty Coker; and ten great grandchildren; Destini Stroud, Kaden Houdek, Evy Martinez, Vanity Clark, Rayland Coker, Brady Marshall, Cason Coker, Jaisan Powers, Makenna Powers, Bowen Coker and lifelong friend and companion, Billie Spears.
Visitation will be held at Waxahachie Funeral Home on Saturday, June 20 from 7:00-9:00 PM.
Funeral Service will be held at Waxahachie Funeral Home on Sunday, June 21 at 3:00 PM.
Interment following the funeral service at Forreston Cemetery.
He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
