Obituary

Russell Dwayne Adamson, 36, of Waxahachie, Texas was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on March 17, 2025, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Russell, known to his family as "Bubba" was born October 21, 1988, to Russell and Sheila Adamson in Corsicana, Texas.

As Bubba got older and found his way in this ol world, he referred to himself as an outlaw, a name he would most certainly live up to and forever be remembered by all that knew and loved him.

Bubba was a hard-working man that knew how to "fix" anything.  He learned early on in life that working for someone else wouldn't cut it for him as he was strong-willed, determined and motivated to build success on his own.  Bubba built his business doing what he loved the most and Outlaw's Garage became his legacy.  His days and lots of nights were spent in his shop, where he served customers, friends and family with some of the best mechanical work Ellis County had to offer.  The shop was where you found him most of the time, music blaring as he worked and welcomed hanging out for those that showed up for some of the best jokes and the most infectious laugh he was sure to give.

Bubba loved the salt water and lake life, being out on the water in a boat, fishing, swimming or hanging out with his children, family and friends.  He loved racing cars, hunting, and hosting some of the best barbeques.  He will be remembered for his willingness to make sure everyone had a good time.  Bubba had a servant's heart, and he would give anyone the shirt off his back without hesitation.  He was an incredible father to his boys and played a huge fatherly role to his nieces.  His personality was one that others were drawn to, anyone who met him loved him.  In true outlaw fashion, he didn't take any bull, but underneath the rough edges was a man with a huge heart that made an impact on all of his family and friends.  His absence has left a huge hole in the hearts of all that loved him. He will be missed deeply; however, his legacy will live on forever and he will never be forgotten.

Bubba fought a courageous battle, never showing fear, but continued to live his life to the fullest. There's no doubt that he was welcomed into heaven by his heavenly father and those gone before him.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all those who have loved his appearing." - 2 Timothy 4:7-8

Bubba is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Dennis Adamson Sr and Rejohnna Ann Adamson, his maternal grandmother Dorothy Sue Eggleston, his sister Rejohnna Ann Adamson, niece Madison Adamson, uncle Bryan Eggleston and cousin David Eggleston.

He is survived by his wife, Robyn Adamson, sons Brayden and Hunter Adamson, stepsons Dylan and Brody Martinez, parents Russell and Sheila Adamson, sisters Ashley Rachelle Elliott and husband Randall, Ashley Ann Adamson, nieces Danaisia and Neileyana McCowan, Harlee Elliott, nephews Joshua and Jacob Lovett, Jayden Elliott.
