Sammy was born March 26, 1947 in Waxahachie, Texas, to William and Ruth Compton. Sammy graduated from Waxahachie High School. He then went to Guam while serving his country 4 years in the United States Air Force. Sammy was a 7 year cancer survivor. He is preceded in death by his father William Compton. Sammy is survived by his loving wife Vicky Compton, mother Ruth Compton, 3 sisters June Wilson, Linda Bates, Carol Hayes, son Matthew Compton, daughter Shannon Lundberg, grandchildren Harrison Lundberg, & Chloe Lundberg. A Memorial Service will be held at University Assembly of God Church 221 Solon Rd. Waxahachie, TX. Saturday, April 18, 2015 2:00PM.
