IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shane Andrew
Phillips
October 15, 1981 – November 9, 2020
Shane Phillips, 39, passed away November 9, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was born October 15, 1981 in Dallas, Texas to Terry and Cindy Phillips.
A visitation will be held 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, November 13, 2020 at Waxahachie funeral home. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 14, 2020 Cowboy Church of Ellis County, 2374 W Hwy 287 Bypass, Waxahachie, TX.
He is survived and will be greatly missed by: his parents Terry and Cindy Phillips; his beautiful daughter, Katelyn Phillips; His sister's family, Jonathan and Holly Holden (Niece: Lily, Nephew: Leo); His brother's family, Josh and Elena Phillips (Nephews: Daniel, Jessy, and Ryan, Niece: Haizy), and many more family and friends.
Shane will be remembered by his fun-loving spirit characterized by his generous heart, goofball laugh, and dry humor and wit. There are only three places you needed to look to find Shane: At the lake fishin', huntin' in the forest, or playin' with the turkey's in the pen. That is unless Katy-Bug needed him. She was the apple of his eye, the sunshine in his life, and without her nothing else mattered.
Shane's future was robbed from him in this. He had plans to marry his fiancé, Lisa and to be called Papaw by her grand-daughter. He died far too young.
In our family we have always had the motto "You are a Phillips, we adapt and overcome. Today, we are not going to adapt because if we do, we will be hopping on one limb. Shane's presence in our lives is an integral part of who we are. We are missing our left leg. Even though we will never laugh with you again, never have a Shaner-hug again, never have a February freezin' fishin' trip again, never have a "sensuous," never have a belly-aching laugh, never have a Shaner-bowl, never have another debate about politics, never dance to Uptown funk without thinking of you, We will live as better people from knowing you. We will walk each day with what you taught us. We will remember "life ain't too long." We will remember how to forgive freely. We will remember to love each other, no matter how much we disagree. So, Instead of hobbling around, we will keep your memory as our prosthetic limb.
