Spencer Ladell Doty of Palestine, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Friday March 14, 2014 at the age of 73, he was born in Quinlan, Texas May 16, 1940, to Ettie Luella Doty. Spencer attended Antioch Baptist Church in Palestine, TX. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing gospel music. He was a loving father and grandpa to all his children. Spencer is preceded in death by his son David Doty, daughter Sheri Thornton and a daughter in infancy, brothers Norman Doty and Earl Wayne Doty. He is survived by a son Michael, daughter Christie Hicks, sisters Nelda White, Betty De Luna, grandchildren Amanda Chapman and many others. A graveside service will be held 1PM at Pilot Grove Cemetery in Whitewright, Texas.
