Dr. Stanley Albert Prather, 96, Passed away October 12, 2025, in Waxahachie, Texas. He was born in Wheeler, Tx to Eugene and Jessie Gay Prather on September 03, 1929.

Stanley was a well-loved biology professor at Southwestern Assembly of God University, now known as Nelson University, for many years. He loved reading, working on his house, classical music, and nature.

Stanley is preceded in death by his first wife, Mavis Prather, second wife, Glenna Prather, and his children, John Prather, Mark Prather, Genie Prather, and David Prather.

He is survived by his 3 grandchildren, Geoff and Jon Prather (whom he lovingly adopted), Jeremy Prather, sister Joyce Elwanda Hutson, and a very dear family friend, Lori Berg.

A Memorial Service will be held at Waxahachie Funeral Home on Saturday, October 25, at 10am.
