Steven Wayne Morris, 56, of Red Oak, Texas was born November 20, 1959 and passed away December 9, 2015. He was born in Bardstown, KY to John R. and Ruth Ann Proffitt Morris. Steve and his family moved to Texas in 1990 from Nelson County, Kentucky. He loved to fish, was an avid hunter, and he loved to spend time with his grandchildren and family.  He was always eager to return to his hometown to visit relatives and childhood friends.

He is survived by sons, William Eric Morris and Steven Bradley Morris of Red Oak, and daughter Alisha (Chance) Rushing of Frost, his wife, Carol Vessels Moore, his mother, Ruth of Elizabethtown, KY, sisters Sandra (Chris) Mattingly, of Bardstown, KY, Cindy (Don) Rust, and a brother Allen (Karen) Morris both of Waxahachie, TX, 10 Grandchildren and one on the way, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held 3-5 pm, December 13, 2015 at Waxahachie Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held  December 14, 2015 at 12 noon at Waxahachie Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at the Red Oak Cemetery, Red Oak , TX.
