Susan Christine Jones, 69, of Waxahachie Texas, gained her heavenly wings on October 15, 2026. Though she leaves a loving family behind, she has been reunited with her beloved husband of 38 years, Marion "Dale" Jones Jr.
Susan was born on February 9, 1957 in Spokane Washington. She grew up as a "wild child" who loved riding her motorcycle and dirt bike. She joined the US Army and served for 4 years. Already blessed with 2 loving sons, Brian and Daniel, she met the love of her life, Dale in 1987. They wed on April 22, 1987 and she was again blessed with another son, Joshua. She spent her years as a wife, mother and friend. Nobody was a stranger and her bubbly and vibrant personality filled any room she was in. She became known as everyone's "mamas" until she was blessed to then be called "gamma". She loved to cook, bake, decorate, and spend time with her family. You could find her watching her favorite shows (she loved the older classics) or spoiling her grandkids. Those that knew her will cherish the fond memories and remember her for the kind, loving, giving, and all-around wonderful woman that she was. She was a devoted Christian and believed that the Lord always has a plan, we just needed to believe and trust in it.
She is preceded in death by her husband Marion "Dale" Jones Jr. She is survived by her children: Brian Cons and partner Trinity, Daniel Jones and spouse Tiffany, and Joshua Schultz and spouse Kristyn and her grandbabies: Alexander Jones, Angelique Jones, Ryker Schultz, Riley Schultz, Thomasin Schultz, Tristan Cons, and Koby Hawson. She is also survived by numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
The family wishes to thank everyone who has supported them in this difficult and heartbreaking time. There will be a celebration of life gathering on Oct 27th 2026 at the Glen Meadows Baptist Church in San Angelo from 11-2 for those wishing to attend.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to local charities in her name.
