IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sylvia Alice
King Belleau
July 22, 1950 – October 31, 2021
Sylvia Alice King Belleau, 72, of Waxahachie, Texas, passed away peacefully, October 31, 2021. She was born July 22, 1950 in Newburyport, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of James Albert & Mable King.
Sylvia worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA) for many years. She married her true love, Richard Belleau in 1983 in Massachusetts, after being introduced by Richard's brother, Raymond Belleau.
Richard and Sylvia moved to Galveston, Texas, where they lived until 2019, at which time they relocated to Waxahachie, Texas to live closer to and get to know Richard's daughter and her family. Sylvia was never one to talk about her family; consequently, it is not known if she has any surviving relatives.
Before her husband passed away in April of this year, they enjoyed travelling and going to casinos.
Sylvia was a fighter; she battled breast cancer for over ten years and most recently was diagnosed with lung cancer. She was not one to give up easily.
She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed a good laugh! She was an animal lover and enjoyed the little things in life. Often, you could find her watching an old movie or a true crime show, all the while, sipping on a Diet Coke!
Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents: Albert & Mable King and her husband of thirty-five years; Richard Belleau.
She is survived by her step-daughter; Renae Rodden and husband Keith, step- grandchildren; Brittani Rodden, Justin Rodden, and Amber Rodden, step-great-grandchildren; Krista Rojas and Kali Rojas.
