Thoyce Lee Bland

June 22, 1929 - October 22, 2017

Thoyce Lee Bland, 88, passed away in Waxahachie with his family at his side.  He was born in Gatesville, TX on June 22, 1929 to Clyde Bland and Madie Clary Bland.

He married Miriam Elizabeth Belger on March 14, 1953 in Aikens, South Carolina.  Thoyce retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 42 years of employment.  He enjoyed golf, playing bingo, and bowling  but his world was his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Madie Bland.

Thoyce is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Miriam Elizabeth Bland;  son Michael Larry Bland, daughter Lisa Randall; grandchildren Misti Diann Randall, Michael Lee Bland, Jason Lee Randall and Bryan Austin Bland Randall; great-grandchildren Alex Randall, Malik Ceesay, Wesley Randall, and Wyatt Randall.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandson.

A family visitation is scheduled on Thursday, October 26th from 6-8 p.m. at Waxahachie Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be Friday, October 27th at 1 p.m. in the Waxahachie Funeral Home Chapel and burial will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
