Tommy Joe Grissom

October 31, 1947 – April 4, 2024

Tommy Grissom of Waxahachie, Texas passed away on April 4, 2024. He was born in Decatur, Texas on October 31, 1947, to Charles and Joanne Grissom.

Tommy loved fishing in his boat, building things, playing his guitar, and spending time with his family. He loved his church family at Lighthouse Baptist Church, where he served and worshipped for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Joe and Joanne Grissom, and his son Charles "Chuck" Grissom.

Tommy is survived  by his loving wife Deborah of 27 years, his children; Andie Coffin, Wendy Shamel and husband Rob, Kimberly Goff, Tracey Marquardt and husband Kirk, Russell Ward and wife Liz. He is also survived in death by many grandchildren; Zack, Missie and husband Alex, Lex, Brenna, Clayton, Sydney and husband Jody, Micah and wife Martha, Noah, Seth and wife Rebekah, Israel and wife Lalia, Bryce, Colton, Chae, and Jade. He was blessed with four great-grandchildren; Daisy, Ian, Emberlynn, and Benson. Tommy was survived by his siblings; Jim Grissom, Suzy Grissom, and Shelley Grissom.

Visitation will be held at Waxahachie Funeral Home on April 10th starting at 10:00am, followed by the service starting at 12:00pm.

On April 11th at 10:15am, he will be laid to rest at the DFW National Cemetery.
