Raymond Thomas Hunstable Born April 25, 1930 to parents Weldon & Rowena Hunstable. Tommy went to be with Jesus on November 9, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents. Tommy is survived by his wife of 58 years Lemmie Tom, and his brother Lynn Hunstable and wife Shirley, brother-in-law Johnny Bell and wife Wanda and a host of cousins, nephews, and nieces. Tommy served in the US Air Force and Army during the Korean War and at time of honorable discharge was a 2nd Lt. He initially enlisted in USAF and after boot camp was scheduled to be deployed to South Korea. Just prior to boarding he received orders he was accepted for the US Army OCS. He then went back through another USA boot camp before starting in the USA Officer Candidate School. Upon successful completion and graduation as the 2nd LT. Tommy was assigned to 159th FA BN as Recon & Survey officer. After service he returned to his career with Mobil/Exxon. He had a successful 38 year career with Mobil/Exxon retiring in 1985. His favorite retirement hobbies/pastimes enjoyments were being a ham radio operator, storm watcher, and shooting skeet. Later in life he took up a computer and enjoyed chatting with his former Army service buddies and friends. A special thanks to the staff at Red Oak Health and Rehab Center and Hospice Plus staff for all the care and attention. Tommy will be missed by all his family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday November 29, 2014. Visitation will be at 10 AM with Service starting at 11 AM at Waxahachie Funeral Home. A committal Service will be held at a later date at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
