IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Troy Alfred
Mccarty
July 5, 1949 – July 22, 2024
Troy McCarty, the legacy, he was a wild soul through and through, you could almost say he had a gypsy spirit. Wanted to do nothing but travel. See the world and all it had to offer. To live his life the way he pleased.
But above that this man was a loving father, even to kids that were not his own. A loving brother, a loving son, a loving grandfather and even great grandfather! But not to mention- one of the truest and bestest friend any of us in his life could have ever asked for. He may have come off tough, but it came out of a place of love.
On a cold winter night, he was the best person to build a bonfire with and do a cookout, rather it was smores, the grill, you named it he could do it. A true jack of all trades.
A fisherman and hunter in his free time, poker man, ladies' man, motorcyclist, eighteen-wheeler driver, traveling the country, automotive mechanic, mechanic and pilot of chinooks in the army during his service, dancer and singer in the comfort of his friends and family. Businessman included! He even built things across the state of Texas that will be part of events for centuries to come! And with all of that came great wisdom beyond his years. But we cannot withhold his American pride. Not only was this amazing man born prideful, and even dare say stubborn, he loved our country through and through.
He served as a Vietnam war vet: SP5 United States Army 12th aviation division!
Years 1967-1970
And my goodness did his attitude take part in his passions. He was and always will be a strong man inside and out. Even when his dementia got the best of him, that man continued to touch the souls of every person that crossed paths with him. He will forever be remembered and cherished. We are all so very blessed to have been able to call him family.
Until we see you again dear Troy Alfred McCarty. It will not be the same here without you.
Born: July 5th 1949 - Passed: July 22nd 2024
A little scripture poem before you go:
"God saw that he was getting tired, and a cure was not to be.
So, he put his arms around him and whispered "come home with me"
With tearful eyes we watched him suffer and saw him fade away. And even though we wanted it, we knew he could not stay. A golden heart stopped beating, a determined spirit at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best."
