Walter Berl Pirtle, age 77, passed away on July 24, 2019 with his family at his side.  He was born June 2, 1942 in Alamosa, CO to Fred Berl Pirtle and Avis Elizabeth Seal Pirtle.

Walter is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Lillian Darlene Pirtle; sons Chris (Heather) Pirtle and David (Gina Copeland) Madison; sister Etta Sue (Larry) McClanahan; grandchildren Tyler Pirtle, Kassidy Pirtle, Inan Smith, Zach Madison, and Zane Madison; and many nieces and nephews.

He was a retired Chemist who was employed at Desoto Inc. for 25 years.  He loved to hunt, fish, drink beer, play the banjo, and work on cars.

A memorial service is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 5th at the Waxahachie Funeral Home.
