Wayne Clifton Tanton, 74, was born in Greenville, Texas on November 16, 1936 to Melvin and Zora Hillburn Tanton. He passed away May 1, 2011. Wayne always sat on his porch and everybody knew how friendly he was. He waved at everybody and most people knew him as the man who always waved. He had a big heart and would do anything for anyone. Preceding him in death are his parents, a sister, Ruth Tanton, brother, Jerry Tanton, grandsons, Derek Tanton and Jerod Tanton. Survivors include his wife Bernice Cockrell, daughters Nan Brinkmeyer, Diann Higgins, Debbie Brinkley, sons, Michael Tanton, Morris Tanton, Sisters, Linda Causey, Margret Frouse, brother Melvin Tanton, grandchildren, Brandy Brinkley Moody, Melissa Tipps, Jason Horton, Billy Horton, Tony Horton, Taylor Tanton, Jacob Brinkmeyer, Austin Brinkmeyer, and Taylor Brinkmeyer. A memorial Service will be a 11:00 Saturday May 7, 2011, at Waxahachie Funeral Home. Arrangements are under direction of Waxahachie Funeral Home
