Wendell C. Anthony, 93, passed away July 11, 2020. He  was born on October 17, 1926 to Andrew and Jewel Henderson Anthony in Milford, Texas.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Mr. Anthony was married to Margarette Irene Kelley in 1978 in Dallas, Texas. Together, they made their home in Avalon, Texas.

He was an avid gardener and enjoyed eating the fruits of his labor.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Andrew and Jewel Anthony, his wife; Margarette Kelley Anthony; two brothers; Robert Anthony and Jimmy Anthony.

He is survived by three sons, Travis Kelley of The Colony, Texas, Philip Kelley of Mississippi, Jerry Kelley of The Colony, Texas and one daughter; Susan Nation of Chandler, Texas, ten grandchildren, one brother; David Kelley, two sisters; JoAnn McLean, Jan Hall, and numerous family members and countless friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held at Waxahachie Funeral Home, Thursday, July 16, 2020 from 9:00-10:00, with the interment following at Hughes Cemetery in Avalon, Texas.
